A large mobile carrier contracted Cloutel to develop a browser-based mobile application to use within its retail outlet stores all across the country. The application required no native app downloads and worked immediately within the browser. It used deep learning trained models for object detection, text detection and speech recognition to provide a seamless experience to the end users. By using natural speech and/or mobile camera, users were able to identify the product in question and obtain its specifications and product images/videos within seconds. This saved them a noticeable amount of time when compared to waiting for the same information from the store’s employees.
